It is a powdered melamine formaldehyde resin used for glazing of melamine dinnerware. The thin layer of glazing powder prevents the contact of food with melamine and creates a shiny surface on dinnerware. The dinnerware coated with glazing powder are resistant against abrasion, detergents and moisture.
Applications
- It is used for glazing melamine dinnerware and impregnation of overlay decal paper of melamine dinner ware.
- It is used in powder form for glazing melamine dinnerware, but it should be first mixed with water for impregnation of paper.
