Melamine formaldehyde powdered resin is mixed in water and forms a transparent and solvent, water and scratch resistant layer on wood products. Decorative papers impregnated with this resin are used as the top layer of impregnation lines.
Applications
- It is used as overlay layer in impregnation line of medium density fiberboard (MDF) and compact boards. The impregnated overlay papers in this resin are dried and then pressed on wood surface to form laminate.
- This resin is used to laminate flooring, countertops, cabinetry, composites, surface coatings and textile finishing.
